Motion Design Showreel
Before AI could fake a moving logo in seconds, every frame here was placed by hand. This is an example of work the founder of SPC Studio did in a previous role: from 2021 to 2023 he worked at Cube, the creative production platform by Ambassadors, turning still Figma designs into the animations, edits and campaign pieces that kept the brand moving on social media. The showreel is the short version of that time. None of it was made by or for SPC Studio.
Still in, motion out
Cube works with a lot of reputable brands, Booking.com among them. Its automation engine, the part that turns one design into hundreds of versions, was built by a dedicated development team. His side of the building was the story around it: making people understand what the platform does in the few seconds a feed gives you.
A design would land in Figma, perfectly still. The job was deciding how it should move: what comes in first, what waits, where the eye goes next, and when to let a frame breathe.
Many hats, one timeline
No two weeks looked the same. Some weeks it was a campaign animation with a launch date that would not move. Others started from a blank page: a brainstorm, a round of creative exploration that might never ship, a designer asking for a second pair of eyes on a layout. Editing filled the gaps in between. Different briefs, same craft underneath: motion design.
Keyframe by keyframe
There was no AI in this workflow. Every ease was tuned by hand in After Effects, every overshoot dialled in, every transition timed against the one before it. When a design changed late, the animation on top of it changed too, frame by frame. It is slow work, and it is also why the timing in the reel feels like a decision rather than a preset.
The big one: Booking.com
One of the larger pieces was a film showing how Booking.com uses Cube to turn one campaign into hundreds of video versions across languages and formats. He animated it from the Figma designs, and it ran on Cube's LinkedIn. Putting that many versions on screen at once without it turning into noise took weeks of back and forth, and it is the project that made him confident as an animator.
Learning in the open
He started in the role not really knowing what the job would ask for. What made the difference was a team that gave room to try things, get them wrong and try again, with good support along the way. Somewhere between the first render and the last, the tools stopped being the hard part and the ideas became the job.
What carried over
Three years of turning still designs into motion is the backbone of what SPC Studio does today. When we animate something for a client, it is the same approach you see in this reel: designed first, moved by hand, timed until it feels right.
